3T is back in the professional peloton. In Team CSC riders’ hands, its 2008 range of components has won races on three continents this season, including in the Giro d’Italia – one of the most grueling courses of modern times.
CSC’s race bikes have 3T’s latest components: Ergosum handlebars, Arx Team stems and, on the time-trial bikes, the slender and elegant Ventus Ltd aerobar.
With the season at its midpoint, CSC riders have had plenty of time to prove the 3T equipment. And they say it’s working great for them.
‘The riders like the new bars a lot. They are light and have a nicely shaped bend, and absorb shocks well,’ says CSC sports director Kim Andersen.
‘Our race mechanics like them too – they’re easy to fit and adjust, with good, solid tech backup. We had no worries, even in the very extreme conditions we encountered in the Giro.’
Amid the mayhem, the new 3T equipment performed perfectly – vindicating 3T’s 100%-designed-for-composites engineering philosophy.

Team CSC, now Team CSC Saxo Bank, contest the Tour de France in July, aiming to consolidate their early-season successes in Italy, Spain, California and Argentina.
